A Seminar on “Dengue: Present Bangladesh Scenario, Awareness and Prevention” held at Hamdard University Bangladesh

On 31 July 2019 Hamdard University Bangladesh organized a Seminar on “Dengue: Present Bangladesh Scenario, Awareness and Prevention” in its permanent campus at Hamdard Nagor, Gazaria, Munshiganj. The keynote speaker of the Seminar was  Prof  Dr Liaquat Ali, Member of Board of Trustees, Hamdard University Bangladesh and Former  Vice Chancellor, Bangladesh University of Health Sciences. In the Seminar, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Khair, Dean of Faculty of Business Administration Prof Dr Md Nasim Anzum, Dean Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Mohammad Sadirul Islam, Dean (In-charge) of Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology Assoc. Prof Dr Mohammad Rabiul Alam, Registrar Dr Md Moazzom Hossain, Controller of Examinations Md. Nurul Huda, all the Heads of the Departments, all Faculty members, students and officers were present.

The Vice – Chancellor of the University Prof Dr Md Abdul Mannan presided over the seminar.

Prof Dr Liaquat Ali discussed history, Classification, Characterization, Symptoms, Lab Investigation for Diagnosis and Management, Lab tests for diagnosis and monitoring, Management Indications of Hospitalization, Prevention and others regarding Dengue Virus and Fever. At end of the Seminar, he said that all kinds of development should be environment friendly.

Prof Dr Md Abdul Mannan expressed his cordial thanks to the keynote speaker for giving valuable time and efforts. He said that the students of this University will be aware and careful and will also give instruction/suggestion to the family members regarding Dengue fever. In addition, he also said that from now on, a day of every month will be reserved for cleaning campaign of this University. If we will do our duty sincerely then our community as well as the nation will be benefitted, hope Prof Mannan.
