Welcome to the Faculty of Unani and Ayurvedic Medicine(FUAM).

Hamdard University Bangladesh has been established since 2012. By constant endeavor of Dr. Hakim Md. Yousuf Harun Bhuiyan, the Faculty of Unani and Ayurvedic Medicine started its journey from 2014. It is the only private university in Bangladesh offering BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery) and BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery).

The Primary goal of this faculty is to provide quality education in the field of Eastern Medicine and to produce skilled professionals in this field. At the same time we want to develop this University as a center of learning, research and creator of knowledge. In this faculty, we try to develop Eastern Medicine in the light of new developments in science particularly the medical sciences.

Modern medical science is evidence based and our endeavor is to bring Eastern Medicine to evidence based science; at the same time keeping its holistic approach and due respect for the divine knowledge on Medical Sciences transmitted through Holy scriptures.
