Hamdard University Bangladesh organized an orientation program on 04 March 2019 for the newly admitted students of Spring semester and 1st professional year of Bachelor of Unani &Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery – 2019 at its permanent campus at Hamdard Nagar, Gazaria, Munshiganj. Member of the Board of Trustees and Deputy Managing Director of Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) Bangladesh Mohammad Zamal Uddin (Russel) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while the Director of Hamdard Foundation Lt. Colonel Mahbubul Alam Chowdhury (Retd.) was the special guest.Besides, the Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Khair, the Controller of Examinations Md. Nurul Huda, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration Prof. Dr. Md. Nasim Anzum; Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Mohammad Sadirul Islam; Dean (In-charge), Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology Assoc Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rabiul Alam, theHead of Public Health Department Prof. Dr. Mohammad Moshaddeque Hossain, the Head of Unani and Ayurvedic Medicine Dr. Md. Khairul Alam, all the Heads of the Departments, all Faculty members, all the freshers and Officers were present. The honorable Vice – Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan presided over the program.

The main program started with the welcome speech of the Registrar Dr. Md. Moazzom Hossain. After the welcome speech the program gradually started with the recitation of the Holy Quran and Bhagabat Geeta. The freshers were cordially received with flowers by the students of the University.

Mohammad Zamal Uddin (Russel) welcomed the freshers to Hamdard University Bangladesh for their higher study. He said that he is delighted to see the newly admitted students in the campus. He shortly described and admired the natural beauty of the campus and also mentioned that this is the best private University of Bangladesh in terms of natural environmentandits beauty. He urged the freshers to enjoy the natural beauty of the University as well as study properly for their desired goals. He also mentioned that the campus of the University is free from smoking andall kinds of drugs.

The Vice – Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan highly appreciated and admired the newly admitted students for selecting Hamdard University Bangladesh for their place of higher education. He also expressed his sincere thanks to all the guests for attending the program. He shortly described the philanthropic activities of Dr. Hakim Md. Yousuf Harun Bhuiyanand advised the students to take inspiration from him and his activities. He advised the students that their activities should be philanthropic and they should be dedicated to the community as well as the nation after acquiring true knowledge from this University. He also briefly discussed the norms and values, responsibilities, facilities, opportunities, disciplineof a student and resources available at Hamdard University Bangladesh. In addition, he mentioned that the students of this University will become an ambassador in different areas through their profession. At the end of the speech, he expected that Hamdard University Bangladesh will be a renowned University not only in Bangladesh but all over the world.
