The Freshers’ Reception and Cultural Program for the Spring Semester 2025 was held on August 4, 2025, at the Multipurpose Hall of Hamdard University Bangladesh. This colorful and joyful event was organized to welcome the new students. It brought the whole university together in celebration. The program started with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an. After that, senior students welcomed the new students by giving them flowers, showing friendship and respect.

The first part of the event was a discussion session. The welcome speech was given by the Registrar (In-Charge), Md. Zubair Arefin. The program was led by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Md. Monjarul Alam, PhD, MIEEE. Speeches were also given by the Treasurer (Acting), Mr. Md. Faruq Hossain, and the Proctor, Dr. Muhammad Shahidul Islam, along with Deans and Heads of different departments. Many teachers, staff, and students attended the event, which made the program lively and special.

The second part was a cultural program. Students performed songs, poems, dances, and short dramas to show their talents. The performances made the program enjoyable and gave the new students a warm and happy start to their university life. The goal of the program was to encourage the freshers and help them understand the values of the university—and it was clearly a big success.
